Front page manipulations
In February 2026, CRTA recorded 144 manipulations across two active narrative categories. The largest share - 79 manipulations - fell under vilifying opponents, making it the dominant pattern for the month. Vilifying neighbours accounted for 30 manipulations.
Vilifying opponents
The vilifying opponents narratives were organized around three main topics: student protesters, prosecutor Mladen Nenadić and the TOK case, and the General Staff affair. Student protesters were frequently portrayed as violent, anti-Serbian, and directed by foreign powers. Coverage of the General Staff case framed the prosecution as politically motivated and fabricated, while Nenadić was depicted as an agent working to destabilize the state.

Vilifying neighbours
The vilifying neighbours narratives focused on three topics: the so-called "triple pact" between Kosovo, Croatia, and Albania, alleged Croatian funding of student protests, and the situation of Serbs in Kosovo. These narratives portrayed Serbia as surrounded by hostile neighbors acting on orders from Western powers, and framed the student protests as part of a foreign-orchestrated campaign against the state.
