Politika novine i magazini d.o.o. (PNM) has acquired the full publishing portfolio and brand rights of NIN, Serbia's oldest weekly magazine, founded in 1935. PNM is owned through Media 026 d.o.o. by Boban Rajić, a businessman from Smederevo who also owns Večernje novosti through the same holding structure. The acquisition makes Rajić the owner of Serbia's three most historically significant print titles - Politika, Večernje novosti, and NIN.
Rajić's holding company Media 026 d.o.o. controls two publishing subsidiaries: Politika novine i magazini, which publishes the daily Politika, and NID Kompanija Novosti, which publishes Večernje novosti along with Radio Novosti and a portfolio of magazines including Treće oko, Kalibar, Zov, Bilje&zdravlje, and the portal novosti.rs. NIN now joins the PNM portfolio. Publishing rights are to be formally registered in the coming period.
Luka Mičeta has been appointed editor-in-chief of NIN. Mičeta served as director of the state news agency Tanjug from 2003, and has since 2024 been a host on Newsmax Balkans - a channel owned by Telekom Srbija. No information has been provided about the financial terms of the acquisition.
