A sixth extraordinary session opened January 14 with 25 agenda items, including the Voters Register Audit Commission and a controversial judicial law package.
Five judicial laws were adopted without public debate, drawing sharp criticism from Serbian prosecutors, law professors, the EU Commission, and the EU Enlargement Commissioner.
The European Parliament fact-finding delegation visited January 22 to 24 and was refused meetings by the Speaker and the President. Opposition MPs filled the gap.
The REM Council election procedure was halted again. The regulatory body has been without a Council since November 2024.
A fire broke out in the Special Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (TOK). All case files were saved; criminal intent is being investigated.
